I don't really know what people want to find out about the Carrera Kraken but if you don't find what you are looking for please just e-mail me here.
I have the Carrera Kraken 2001 model. I got it just before the 2002 model came out so I got it slightly cheaper than normal. Unless a new model is significantly better that is probably the best way to buy a new bike.
In my opinon this bike is excellent value for money, it is very built unlike a certain ownbrand bike (Apollo [my personal and others opinon]), you might not be getting a big name like Saracen, Kona, Muddy Fox, Orange, etc. But hey you are not buying a name you are buying a bike! For what the Carrera Kraken cost you would not get a bike from any of those anywhere near the spec of the Carrera Kraken.
